Here's a step-by-step of the most recent piece in a personal project. The initial  pencil sketches were drawn on tracing paper, as was the brown line art (Prismacolor pencil), and then everything was colored with ArtRage watercolor brushes.

Working on a personal project. The line art was done with a Prismacolor pencil on tracing paper and the coloring was done in ArtRage (best fake watercolor brushes out there).  Looking at this, I see I need to change the color of the boy's hair.  Now I'm working on the background.
