Pretty psyched to find out that my airplane painting, posted below, not only got into the upcoming 99 Show, but also won an award. Which is good because it basically covers the cost of my day. We dropped the paintings off then went to Casbah for drinks, Buffalo Blues for lunch (bad decision), Borders for magazines and the liquor store. If I can sell the painting I might actually make a little money.

Hi John,
I met you briefly at your opening at Planet Art a while back. Love the airplane painting. The format is pretty cool too. I was sad to hear about Planet Art closing, Linda and Greg are great people.
Yeah, it's depressing me no end that they're closing.
